Adrian Hartley has joined AquaBioTech Group as an Aquaculture Consultant and Project Manager.
The international Mosta-based aquaculture, fisheries and aquatic environment consultancy firm welcomed Mr Hartley onboard.
“Over the years Adrian has gathered a lot of experience working in multiple roles for various companies around the world e.g. Oman, Middle-East, UK and Mexico. He has managed projects from their conception to operations, along with consulting and supporting roles in production, industry and market development, applied research, implementation of new technologies and training,” the company wrote on Linkedin.
“I thank AquaBioTech Group for the opportunity given. I’ve known ABT for some time now and I’m happy to be part of the team, helping and participating in its further development as well as for the aquaculture industry,” Mr Hartley said.
Mr Hartley has 22 years’ worth of experience as an Aquaculture and Business Development Specialist. Before joining AquaBioTech Group, he worked as a Technical Director for Pacifico Aquaculture. In this role he led and supported the technical advancement of the company in a challenging new industry, mainly looking after inland and off-shore expansion projects implementing state of the art RAS technology as well as supporting improvement efforts in various technical fields, like nutrition, feed suppliers, genetics, fish health, and certification among others.
University degrees still offer a route into industry, but nowadays, there are different ways of getting a dream job.

He said that the improved rating comes ‘despite unprecedent circumstances which have affected both the local and international markets’
