St Julian’s-based iGaming company Hero Gaming has promoted Andrea Saliba to Director of People & Culture.
Founded in 2013 by Georg Westin, Hero Gaming has since expanded its portfolio to comprise Boom Casino, Casino Heroes, and Simple Casino. The company has physical offices in both Malta and Malmö, Sweden.
Mr Saliba announced his appointment on social media earlier this week.
The People & Culture Director joined Hero Gaming as an HR Business Partner in May 2018. Around two years after joining, he enjoyed his first promotion, to People & Culture Manager. Over the following two years he was promoted twice, first to Head of People & Culture and then to Director of People & Culture.
Before embarking on his Hero Gaming journey, Mr Saliba served as a Recruitment Specialist at Konnekt, as Cabin Crew at Air Malta, as an EFL Teacher at ESE, and as a Centre Manager at EF.
The People & Culture Director holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Tourism and Management Studies from the University of Malta and a Master of Science Degree in HR Management and Training from the University of Leicester.
He replaces Jose Ramon Alegre, who resigned from the position at the start of 2024.
