Atlas Insurance announced a string of initiatives set to take place throughout October to highlight the importance of good mental health.

This is the third year in a row that the company is organising such activities.

“World Mental Health Day is being marked on 10th October by the World Health Organisation, and our company, for the third consecutive year, has embarked on a month-long programme of activities to make sure our stakeholders remain cognisant of the fact that mental health is a vital part of our wellbeing,” Catherine Calleja, Managing Director at Atlas Healthcare, said.

“We all know how stress and anxiety, both at work and in our personal lives, can affect our wellbeing. In addition, the pandemic has heightened such pressures and we have to be aware of the importance of mental wellbeing as well as ways of how one can deal with such issues and help others,” Ms Calleja continued.

All throughout this month, Atlas will be engaging with its stakeholders – in particular its employees and clients – to organise a number of webinars in line with this initiative.

A 30-day Mental Health Guide developed by ICAS will also be shared on Atlas’ social media channels and amongst its employees throughout October.

ICAS is a global, 24/7 international Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provided by Atlas Healthcare. The service gives employees and their families direct access to psychologists, face-to-face counselling, legal and financial helplines, and support for HR and line managers.

“Mental Health Awareness month reflects Atlas’ values and commitment to promote wellbeing and provide added value to our clients and employees,” Ms Calleja concluded.

Atlas will also be collaborating with ICAS to organise a series of engaging webinars for #TeamAtlas that will cover topics related to the needs of the company’s employees and leadership team.

Throughout October, the company will keep collaborating with The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry by organising a webinar for its clients, partners, and Malta Chamber members.
