Malta-based destination management organisation Global DMC Alliance (GDA) on Thursday shared that Benji Gatt has been named CEO.

Over the years, Mr Gatt has gained various years of experience from the services sector, ranging from insurance and fast-moving consumer goods, to catering, hospitality and also the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Prior to his latest appointment, he was Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Kitchen Concepts Ltd for over two years.

His experience also includes just under a year as Business Manager at Farsons Group, and more than 16 years at Vivian Corporation, working in a number of marketing-related roles.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr Gatt said: “I am committed to working towards everyone’s success within GDA with enthusiasm and dedication. I’ll reach out to you all shortly.”

Away from the office, Mr Gatt is passionate about people, travelling, football, wine and food. He holds an Advanced International Diploma in Business Management from the Malta Institute of Management, among other qualifications.

Established in 2006, GDA is made up of a team of local event planners and destination experts who provide tailor-made solutions to companies by hand-picking destination management companies (DMCs) in sought-after destinations.
