Communiqué’s Managing Director Bernice Micallef reflects upon the blessings of the past decades as she celebrates her 30th anniversary at the helm of the creative agency.

“I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am today, and I consider myself so blessed that I still love what I do,” she states and moves on to thank all the people in her life who have helped her get to this stage in her career.

She starts off by thanking her parents who have given her “the best foundation for success.” As she celebrates this important milestone she remembers her mother who she only knew for 17 years but who played an important role in “sowing the seeds underlying [her] moral values and work ethic.”

Ms Micallef’s father is the person who, in her opinion, endowed her “with his entrepreneurial spirit.” She also thanks her siblings “for always supporting [her] creativity and work at Communiqué through the toughest of times.”

The Managing Director’s next thought goes out to her friends “who love [her] for being a creative dreamer.”

However, Ms Micallef affirms that “her family deserves the greatest accolades for bearing with [her] and supporting [her].” She starts by mentioning her husband “who always understood that Communiqué was [her] “firstborn”, occupying so much of [her] thoughts and life – and also [her] two sons, who are proud of that crazy woman in their life.” She asserts that “their love has given [her] the strength to persist and the wisdom to find the right balance between work and life.”

Last but not least, her final appreciation goes out to her “ex-business partner, for growing with [her]” as well as her “past and present employees for their invaluable contribution to Communiqué’s success.” While also mentioning her collaborators and clients over the years, she insists that without them “all this would have just been a dream.”

Founded in 1992 Communiqué is a multidisciplinary service creative agency based in Birkirkara that specialises in branding, design and Marketing. Ms Micallef obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication and Graphic Design, and Design and Visual Communications from the CEFRIEL – Politecnico di Milano in 1990.
