Richard Dennys has been appointed CEO at Malta-based iGaming affiliate marketing company Game Lounge, Co-Founder Jonas Cederholm announced on Wednesday (today).
Mr Cederholm, who had been serving as CEO of the company, welcomed his successor. He stated that Mr Dennys will be a “valuable asset” to the company’s growing team due to his leadership background and extensive experience.
The Co-Founder stated that he will still be heavily involved in the company. “I remain fully committed to working alongside management to execute our strategy and continue our journey forward,” he added.
Mr Cederholm said that he is confident that the transition from one CEO to another will be “seamless” and Game Lounge’s success “will only continue to grow,” before adding that this marks that start of an “exciting new chapter” for the company.
Founded in 2011 by Mr Cederholm and Fredrik Langeland, Game Lounge has become a leading Malta-based affiliate marketing company for the iGaming sector in the Nordics and beyond. It provides digital marketing services in the online casino and sports betting industries.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr Dennys confirmed that he will be starting in his new role from Monday 12th February, noting that he is delighted to be joining Game Lounge, a company he described as an “iGaming affiliate powerhouse.”
“I cannot wait to get started to continue and expand the Game Lounge mission to provide best-in-class products and fanatical service levels to partners and users with pace and passion across the globe,” he stated.
Mr Dennys has a dynamic career that spans over two decades in the digital and affiliate marketing landscapes. He is the former CEO of Webgains Affiliate Network, having served in the role for more than seven years. Prior to that, he also held senior roles at PwC, Yell, BBC, and Nokia, stating that he honed his skills in “driving business growth and leading diverse teams” through these experiences.
Aside from his entrepreneurial journey, he has also been actively involved in board advisory and angel investment roles, guiding technical scale-up companies through their growth phases.
Mr Dennys holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from The University of Manchester, as well as a Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
