Benjamin Tabone Grech

With a long and respected family legacy in the industry, one could say that Benjamin Tabone Grech, CEO at Engel & Völkers Malta, was born into the world of real estate. And, since taking the helm as CEO in 2020, Benjamin is bringing his own leadership style to the table.

In this series of interviews with local CEOs, Benjamin says “I have always found myself in positions of leadership; during my time at boarding school being head of house, at university, captaining the sailing team and being president of the kitesurfing club and, today, making my mark within an industry that my family has formed part of for over 50 years.”

His CEO dos and don’ts

“My dos are always listen and there is always enough time – do continue reading and learning as our own personal growth will inspire those around you,” he shares.

“Don’t take anyone for granted, and don’t accept average.”

The best parts of the job

The best part also happens to be the most unexpected:The feeling of finding the right investment or helping a family move into a new home time and time again brings me boundless job and never gets old.”

Benjamin’s CEO Insight: adopting the right attitude

Benjamin explains that he has always approached life with a can-do attitude. “No task is too big and there is no challenge that is impossible. I have always been keen to seize any opportunity no matter how small, and this, over time, with lots of patience, has on many occasions led me to boundless opportunities.”
