M&Z plc has announced that from 1st January 2024, Charmaine Sciberras  join the senior management team as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The appointment was announced last Thursday on the Malta Stock Exchange.

Ms Sciberras has been employed with the Company for over 30 years and held different roles including in credit control and operations.

The company remarked that she has “consistently demonstrated strong administration skills and a meticulous approach towards tasks at hand.”

M&Z plc is a local company specialising in the global sourcing, importation, distribution, and marketing of products for the retail and catering industry. It was established in the 1930s and has over the years built a number of portfolio brands for the retail, pharmacy, and food service sector. This includes Ben & Jerry’s, Brut, Chicco, Kopparberg and Santero among others.

“Over the years, her ability to navigate complex challenges and streamline operations, has not only improved efficiency of operations with the Company but also earned her the recognition as a valuable leader,” M&Z added.

M&Z also stated that her natural progression towards the COO role was in acknowledgement of the duties she has taken on throughout her employment with the company.
