RS2 plc on Friday announced that Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Gideon Fourie has left the payment software company.

The company stated that Mr Fourie is “no longer engaged” by the company, a change that has become effective immediately.

He had joined RS2 back in 2022, where he was tasked with enhancing the group’s global service and commercial offering. Mr Fourie brought more than 25 years of consulting and industry experience within cards, payments, and banking to the group, having previously occupied positions at Fiserv, Commerzbank, and Deloitte, among others.

RS2 thanked Mr Fourie for his work during the close to two years he spent at the company.

In the announcement, RS2 refrained from providing any updates about a potential successor.

Founded in 1988, RS2 is a leading provider of omni and multichannel payment software and end-to-end payment solutions for both issuers and acquirers on a single payment platform for banks, large financial institutions, integrated software vendors, and other entities.

Last year, the Malta-headquartered company announced a corporate name change, going from RS2 Software plc to RS2 plc. This was done in a bid to reflect the company’s broadening role in the entire payments value chain, including as a payments processor and acquirer.
