Christopher Borg / Comlux

Comlux Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Christopher Borg on Monday shared that he has been appointed Chairman at The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry’s Aviation & Aerospace Industry Business Section Executive Committee.

Mr Borg has been active in the aviation industry for over the past decade, having joined Comlux Group in 2013. Aside from his role as CFO, he is also a Member of the Board of Directors and a Member of the aviation group’s two main Executive Committees.

He is a Founding Member and also acted as President of the Malta Forum of Internal Auditors. He lectures on governance, internal audit, and risk management and has also served as Non-Executive Director on the Board of a number of firms.

Prior to his time at Comlux Group, he had experiences in various senior roles related to the financial departments at PwC Malta and Middlesea Insurance plc, including as Audit Manager at the former and Chief Internal Auditor at the latter.

Mr Borg graduated from University of Malta twice with first class degrees in Business Management and in Finance and Accountancy in 1997 and in 1999. He also holds a Master’s degree and describes himself as being particularly skilled in change management and strategic planning, among other things.

Established in 1848, The Malta Chamber acts as the “independent voice” of Malta’s private sector, with it seeking to actively represent companies from all economic sectors and ensure entrepreneurs enjoy “the best competitive environment and regulatory conditions possible for the conduct of business”.
