Christopher Vassallo Cesareo, Managing Director of Domestica Ltd, has announced that he is retiring from the San Anton School Board and from his role as Deputy Chairman, now that his youngest son has completed his studies at the school.
Sharing the news via a social media post, Mr Vassallo Cesareo wrote, “I really cannot believe that it’s all over,” going on to recall dropping his first child off on their first day at school. “I have dedicated every other Thursday for the past 10 years to SAS and have made great friends along the way. Best of luck to the new parents who will be taking over,” he continued.
In an announcement by the school, Denise Zammit, Chief Operations Officer at San Anton School wrote “on behalf of the Board and all past Board members who had the pleasure to work with Chris over the past 10 years, I wish to thank him copiously for his long years of dedicated service and support to the School Board both as a regular member initially and as a Deputy Chairman over the past seven years.”
“Chris’ insight and intuition have been a huge asset to the Board and we will miss his experience and support greatly,” she continued, highlighting Mr Vassallo Cesareo’s involvement, in particular, as Chairman of the North Wing Sub-Committee, which oversaw the planning, building and finishing of the school’s North Wing.
Mr Vassallo is currently Chairman of JAYE, Deputy President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, and is also a Member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
