Anthony Rizzo

Local governmental organisation Circular Economy Malta announced that its CEO, Ing. Anthony Rizzo, passed away yesterday 12th May.

Circular Economy Malta took to social media to announce Ing. Rizzo’s passing.

Before joining said organisation, Ing. Rizzo held several managerial roles, having served as CEO at the Malta Resources Authority (MRA), Water Services Corporation (WSC), and Enemalta – the country’s national electricity provider.

Ing. Rizzo also occupied senior positions at Menrad and Playmobil.

The CEO’s passing triggered an outpouring of tributes from friends, former colleagues, and public figures.

“I am sorry to hear that Ing. Anthony Rizzo – CEO of Circular Economy Malta – has passed away,” Transport Minister Aaron Farrugia said.

“I remember the enthusiasm and dedication that he possessed all throughout his employment at this organisation. My thoughts are with his family,” he continued.

Enemalta, Ing. Rizzo’s former employer, also took to social media to mourn his loss.

“Enemalta pays tribute to Ing. Antony Rizzo who served as the corporation’s CEO between 2006 and 2007. We thank you for your service to our company,” it wrote.
