“Like many women, I had often found it difficult to trust in my abilities. However, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by people who encouraged me to take up new challenges and nowadays, I take full responsibility for my growth and capabilities,” says Cool Ride-Pooling CEO Laura Jasenaite in a post shared by the company on the occasion of International Woman’s Day.

The woman who drives Malta’s first ride-pooling service goes on to list the top three qualities she considers all great leaders must have.

“I believe great leadership follows three qualities: a genuine urge that drives continuous improvement and innovation; the communication skills to paint a company’s vision; and the ability to empower teams to act autonomously and efficiently.”

Priding herself on building successful brands, products and services that make people’s daily lives easier, the CEO goes on to say, “I am a firm believer that transport as we know it today, won’t exist in the future, and it is that fast-paced progression that really entices me to keep reaching our goals for sustainable and environmentally friendly transport options.”
