Alan Grima

Dhalia Group CEO Alan Grima has highlighted that 2024 will prove to be a year of personal development for him, as he seeks to learn a new language and incorporate more exercise into his daily routine.

There has been great emphasis over the past few years on the need for individuals, particularly business leaders, to establish a healthy work-life balance that incorporates learning, growth, and self-development.

These are all factors that can help them feel more motivated at the workplace, improve their mental well-being, and foster more creative thinking.

During his interview with’s end-of-year series, Mr Grima stressed that he aims to place greater focus on his physical and mental health next year by fitting regular exercise in his already very hectic daily routine.

Mr Grima has served as CEO of the long-standing real estate company since 2015. Over the past year, he has led the launch of Dhalia CRE, Dhalia Group’s commercial real estate brand, an accomplishment that proved challenging, yet one that he is also very proud of.

What 3 words would you use to sum up your 2023? Why?

Growth, achievement, and adaptability.

These words reflect my journey this year. We have faced challenges, learnt a lot, and achieved the desired goals.

What personal accomplishment from the past year are you most proud of?

The successful launch of the Dhalia CRE brand. It was a challenging endeavour, but seeing it come to life and being well received by the business community has been extremely rewarding.

What are you most grateful for this year?

The support of my family, the world gradually moving past the pandemic, and the fresh opportunities that have arisen in this new phase.

How are you going to spend the New Year?

Hopefully having a short break with my family and closest friends.

What are the biggest opportunities and challenges you believe 2024 will bring?

I believe that 2024 will bring further opportunities in terms of technological advancements and remote work. On the other hand, global socio-economic shifts and the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance are the primary challenges which I feel need to be given due priority.

Is there a particular skill you’d like to develop in the new year?

Perhaps learning a new language, given that apart from providing new cultural perspectives, this should also enhance my cognitive abilities.

Is there something you’d like to change about your daily routine?

To include regular exercise, which I am confident should improve both physical and mental health.

Where do you see yourself in a year’s time?

We have exciting plans for 2024 and, therefore, I would like to see these initiatives in place by the end of 2024.
