Vincent Degiorgio, a stalwart of the local hospitality industry, has been appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Dolmen Hotel Malta.

Mr Degiorgio took to social media to announce the move.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as COO at Dolmen Hotel Malta. Exiting times ahead!”

Founded in 1986, Qawra’s Dolmen Resort Hotel seeks to deliver uncompromising quality whilst engaging its patrons’ moods and aspirations of Malta.

The hotel is made up of 488 rooms and suites, a range of eateries, a casino, a lobby bar, multiple meetings and events spaces, and a spa, amongst other facilities.

Mr Degiorgio joins the establishment following a six-and-a-half-year tenure as Executive Director at db Hotels and Resorts.

From 2004 to 2014, Mr Degiorgio served as Financial Controller and, eventually, General Manager at the db San Antonio Hotel and Spa – a subsidiary of db Hotels and Resorts.

The newly appointed COO’s earlier experiences include stints as Assistant Financial Controller at Mercure San Antonio Hotel and at Vivaldi Hotel.

Mr Degiorgio has also been serving as Secretary General of the Malta Pool Association since 1989.
