Michael Azzopardi, Senior Manager – Technology Consulting Lead at EY Malta, has been named a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a global technical organisation focused on advancing technology and innovation.

The IEEE, with more than 400,000 members from over 160 countries around the globe, is a trusted voice for engineering, computing and technology information worldwide.

Sharing the promotion on social media, Mr Azzopardi said “I am honoured to be elevated to Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in recognition of my significant contributions to the ICT profession.”

“Senior Member is the highest professional grade for which IEEE members can apply, and requires five years of significant performance as a criterion. Only nine percent of more than 421,000 members in over 160 countries have achieved this grade.”

Mr Azzopardi has been a part of the EY Malta team since 2018 and is responsible for helping clients understand the impacts and opportunities of the evolving technology environment.

Previously, he worked overseas at Credit Suisse for 15 years in various roles, including that of Director, Technical Fellow – Service Architect for End User Services.
