Finesse Group CEO Jo Caruana is celebrating her fifth anniversary as a StoryBrand Certified Guide.

Ms Caruana is the only individual in Malta and among a small cohort across Europe and the UK that has this certification.

Over the past five years, Ms Caruana and her team at Finesse used the StoryBrand marketing framework to help businesses and brands clarify their message and tell compelling stories.

StoryBrand was founded by Donald Miller, its President and CEO. As a company, he wanted “to tell a better story.” However, this needed to be done through a simple process and it was then that he established a seven-part framework “that is now the foundation of StoryBrand.”

By time, the process evolved into a two-day workshop, which has been attended by brands of different sizes, non-profit organisations and also politicians.

“Storytelling is the most powerful way for businesses to connect with customers emotionally and stand out in crowded markets,” Ms Caruana said.

Finesse Group has expanded from a small, local PR and content firm into a global business with clients and team members worldwide. It aims to help businesses improve their communications, messaging, content, PR, and overall business etiquette.

“When the pandemic hit, I made a strategic decision to reinvest and internationalise by becoming a StoryBrand Guide,” she continued. “This allowed us to reach clients globally, while still employing a mostly Maltese team. Today, over 75 per cent of our portfolio comes from international markets,” she added.

Recent business highlights for Ms Caruana have included two invitations to present at the StoryBrand Summit in Nashville, United States, on the power of PR for growing brands.

Ms Caruana highlighted that she is “proud that a local business has grown to deliver world-class brand messaging and storytelling services” to clients globally and that she is honoured to continue her relationship with StoryBrand.
