Karl Meli, former Chief Operations Officer at independent asset management company Rigsave, has announced that he will leaving the financial services industry for something new, taking on the role of Operations Manager at Moneybite.

Moneybite, a specialist crypto payments company, was recently granted a licence by the Malta Financial Services Authority to become one of the first MFSA-approved companies to provide merchant services globally, particularly to Malta Gaming Authority-licensed operators.

Sharing the news on social media, Mr Meli wrote, “after seven productive years in Financial Services I am grateful and excited to be venturing into a new and innovative business.” Describing the new role as an “unexpected opportunity”, he added that he is looking forward to the challenges it will bring.

Prior to his new role, Mr Meli held high-level positions at Rigsave and Sparkasse Bank Malta.
