The idea of an executive is often paired with the image of formal wear such as blazers, pencil skirts or suits to symbolise professionalism.

But now in 2024, with millennials and Gen Z workers shaking up the corporate world, Fabio Zammit has decided to ditch the formality of suits and started wearing clothes according to his personal style.

On Tuesday (today), Director and Founder of Root Codex Mr Zammit shared his journey in putting suits away in a dark corner of his wardrobe.

On his post he recalled how roaming the bustling streets of Canary Wharf in London and having a wardrobe filled with suits once gave him the confidence and a tase of luxury.

“But over 14 years later, something has changed. Liberating from the confines of formal attire, I began questioning authenticity,” he added.

After his thinking, Mr Zammit said that this has led to a deeper understanding of his true self.

He remarked that societal norms have relaxed which in turn has allowed people to embrace their true selves.

“Inspired by visionaries like Steven Bartlett, who boldly exhibit their personal style on Dragons’ Den, I recognise the power of being yourself,” he continued.

Today, one is more likely to see Mr Zammit in a hoodie than a suit, being “unapologetically” himself in the works for shaping a future where authenticity reigns.

Root Codex is a software provider who has been specialising in web development, custom software and web hosting for over a decade.
