Andy Gatesy, Chairman and CEO of beauty product packaging manufacturer Toly Products took to social media to reflect on an important family milestone and how it’s relevant to his business.

“Seven months ago, I became a proud grandfather to baby Alexandra. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than holding her and seeing her develop,” Mr Gatesy wrote.

“This life changing event makes me reflect that it is not profit or growth that drives our business. Instead, it is all about us as individuals. Laughing, loving, growing, and connecting. In fact, genuine human connection is at the heart of Toly,” he continued.

Toly holds ‘people’ as one of its core company values, emphasising the importance of a ‘strong family spirit’.

The company was brought to life by Mr Gatesy’s father, Zoli Gatesy, in 1971, initially as a manufacturing company for the toy industry. Four years after its foundation, however, a corporate decision was taken to specialise in the production of compacts for face powers, blushers, and eyeshadow.

In 1986, Mr Gatesy joined the business, however it wasn’t until 1991 that he took over the Chairmanship of the group.

Since then, the Toly Group has experienced considerable and constant growth, having expanded to countries around the globe, opened a new factory in Malta, and entered countless partnerships with international brands.
