JUGS Malta Ltd Director Gianni Zammit on Friday highlighted the importance of being resilient in the business world, especially considering one may face constant changes and challenges.

Mr Zammit co-founded the teambuilding and event planning company in 2000 together with his business partner Josef Gafa, and he noted that while getting the formula right is “an important part of business”, being resilient is “key”.

“Business is constantly changing and challenging you. The right working formula today is not necessarily a successful one tomorrow,” he explained.

“When your business is tested, it’s not how big or successful you are, but how resilient you are,” he added.

Mr Zammit said that the COVID-19 pandemic was a time of uncertainty that nobody expected, and was especially difficult for JUGS, which “relied on live events and everything that wasn’t socially distanced”. As a result, such resilience and being able to adapt to the “ever-changing situation were key”.

“I’m so proud that we are still standing and stronger than ever today,” he concluded.

Over the course of his career, Mr Zammit has taken a number of plunges in a variety of industries other than teambuilding. These range from market and media research at Business Leaders Malta, all the way to childcare at YoYo Kids and entertainment at Vibe FM, all companies which he is Director and Shareholder of.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Instructional Technology from University of Malta, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Valdosta State University.
