CEO of health and well-being app, Few, Jamie North, urged budding entrepreneurs to consider starting a business in Malta.

“I would definitely recommend Malta, not just to my friends, but even if you’re going to start a business here, for various reasons,” said Mr North as part of an interview with Tech.mt in collaboration with the Malta Digital Nomad Association.

Sharing his reasons for doing so, Mr North explained, “One, Malta is an English-speaking country, there is a really growing start-up vibe here, it’s getting in early which is quite exciting. I’ve been here for four years and in the last years just Valletta alone has really surged and it’s now like a cool hub,” he continued.

Mr North’s app is a holistic fitness app created to help improve the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being of its users.

From nutrition classes to kayaking, Few users can book virtual or in-person sessions with its community of practitioners to truly excel in their area of choice.

“There are great tax benefits being on the island. Malta is a great launchpad, so if you are coming from outside of Europe and want to get in a European market, Malta is a great place to start just to test the nuances of Europe alone because there are so many different cultures here,” Mr North said.

“There are incredible schemes, and then there’s Tech.mt, who really gives you the guidance to not only start your business, but also scale it,” he concluded.
