Sinead Burke

Sinéad Burke, CEO at inclusivity consultancy firm, Tilting the Lens, has been appointed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a promising Young Global Leader under the age of 40.

Over the past year, Ms Burke’s work has been focused on the Global Gucci Equity Board, an advisory board established by the luxury designer label. Ms Burke said her work here is aimed at “creating greater employment opportunities for disabled people at Gucci” while “creating policies and practices to transform culture and society to build a more equitable and accessible future for all.”

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Burke said, “I am honoured to be appointed as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader; a five year-programme that is rooted in education and provides opportunities to scale and measure global impact for my work at Tilting the Lens.”

She joined the Gucci Global Equity Board in 2020, with the responsibility to define “the overall vision and priorities to inform Gucci’s company culture and employee experience,” the brand wrote.

Ms Burke is part of a group of 112 individuals, ranging from innovative entrepreneurs and activists to researchers and promising political leaders, to join the WEF, whose alumni include New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
