Reuben Abela, a stalwart of the local fintech industry, has joined Andaria Financial Services as Head of Commercial.
With offices in Ta’ Xbiex and London, Andaria provides companies across a variety of industries with state-of-the-art financial and digital payment services. The company is a regulated financial services firm in the EU and the UK, and is authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Mr Abela announced his appointment on social media earlier this week.
The newly appointed Head of Commercial joins Andaria after a four-and-a-half-year stint at Ixaris, where he served as Group Head of Customer Success, Director of Client Experience, and most recently, General Manager.
Before that, Mr Abela built up a wealth of experience serving in senior roles at a variety of companies around the island. His past positions include Head of Customer Experience at Entropay, Head of Commercial Operations at IoTFabrix and Worldfone, and Head of Marketing and Product Marketing & Development Manager at Forbesfone.
Mr Abela holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Public Policy from the University of Malta and a Master of Science Degree in Business Innovation and eBusiness from Birkbeck, University of London.
