Corinthia Group company International Hotel Investments plc (IHI) announced the passing of Director Joseph Fenech.

Mr Fenech was appointed to the IHI board on 20th April 2021, having said that, his experience with the group dates back to the 1980s.

Upon his appointment last year, Mr Fenech succeeded Joseph J. Vella, who had just retired. The late Director was also made a Member of the Group’s Audit Committee and Nomination and Renumeration Committee.

“Prior to being appointed on the IHI Board, Mr Fenech formed part of the Corinthia Senior Executive team and held the position of joint CEO,” IHI said in a statement.

“Mr Fenech enjoyed an acknowledged reputation in the hotel business and corporate financing, having been intimately involved in the Corinthia Group for the past 42 years,” it continued.

Mr Fenech’s promotion to IHI’s board left Simon Naudi as the sole CEO of the company.
