Kevin Rapinett’s two-year tenure as a Council member at The Malta Chamber under the ‘Manufacturers and other industries’ economic group is coming to an end, while an upcoming round of elections will see a new round of professionals hold positions in the various economic groups.
The business of The Malta Chamber is managed by a Council consisting of 19 elected members, who hold their post for two years. The Council includes the Chairpersons of the Chamber’s three Economic Groups, as well as all past presidents who are still members of the Malta Chamber.
“It has been a privilege to serve as a Council Member for the past two years, and I am proud to have worked alongside President Marisa Xuereb and a strong team to support the Chamber’s mission,” he said on Monday.
He also thanked Chamber CEO Marthese Portelli and her staff “for their hard work and dedication during this term.”
And, while Mr Rapinett’s tenure under the Manufacturers economic group is coming to an end, on Monday he also announced that he has submitted his nomination for the upcoming elections of the ‘Importers, distributors and retailers’ economic group.
“I continue to look forward to contributing towards a sustainable economic vision for the country, and to the opportunity to serve you again.”
The Malta Chamber members may cast their electronic vote online between Tuesday 28th March at 7pm and Thursday 30th March till 4pm.
