Steve Mercieca

A coaching session by UK sales guru Tony Morris turned into a valuable friendship for Steve Mercieca, co-founder and CEO of Quicklets and Zanzi Homes, who recently announced that QLZH Group has registered with the specialised TMI University, set up by Morris himself, who has over 20 years’ experience in sales as well as executive coaching.

The University, which is exclusively online, provides modules with videos, workshops and tests on every aspect of the sales process, including for real estate.

Commenting about the investment to MaltaCEOs.mt, Steve explained that the Group bought a lifetime licence, providing all team members with access to the university.

“When new recruits join our Zanzi Homes or Quicklets teams, they have immediate access to this University, where they can learn the ins and outs of real estate sales, ranging from customer service, shortlisting and negotiation skills, to how to close a deal, build relationships and maximise opportunities,” the CEO said.

Explaining the value of such an investment, Steve says “Nowadays, I believe it’s all about training and being more professional. The real estate industry is fragmented and, with so many players entering the market, training should be at the very top of the agenda.”

He adds that internal feedback so far has been positive, particularly among team managers, “who have found it useful in order to track the progress of their agents, the modules they’re learning and how they’re progressing in their training.”
