Nadiya Attard, a long-standing employee in the local iGaming sphere, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Malta-based company Relax Gaming.
This promotion, the company said, is part of Relax Gaming’s efforts to deliver upon its ambitious market expansion plans.
“Two years ago, when joining Relax, my promise was to help accelerate the company’s success and now it’s time to reach new heights and take the next step,” Ms Attard said.
“With a continued focus on team growth, development, empowerment, and collaboration, I know we will continue to exceed expectations as we continue to drive differentiation and expand into new regulated markets,” she continued.
The newly appointed CCO joined Relax Gaming as Director of Sales just under two years ago. Before that, she built up a wealth of experience working at several Malta-based iGaming companies. These include NetEnt, Prima Networks, and Betfair.
Relax Gaming noted how Ms Attard has consistently exhibited an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape and legal framework across numerous jurisdictions. It also said that the CCO’s contributions have proven invaluable to the company’s growth in recent years.
In her new role, Ms Attard will be succeeding Daniel Eskola, who will now be serving as Deputy CEO.
Mr Eskola moved from CEO to CCO in November 2019 to focus on the commercial side of the business. During this period, Relax Gaming went from strength to strength, with revenue from its slot content increasing by 592 per cent.
“I am very proud of the commercial team, which has delivered phenomenal growth in a highly-competitive market. After committing to two years as CCO and all targets delivered, it is time to hand over the reins to Ms Attard, who has been outstanding from day one,” Mr Eskola said.
