Following Michael Sciortino’s resignation from Non-Executive Director of AX earlier this month, the company appointed Josef Formosa Gauci to the same role effective from 7th September.
Mr Formosa Gauci also took on Mr Sciortino’s role of member of the Audit Committee.
The newly appointed Director also holds directorial positions at AX Group, Stefanotis Co. Ltd., Nevada Co. Ltd., JZT Holdings Ltd., and Xara Palace Hotel Co. Ltd.
Mr Formosa Gauci previously held directorial positions at SMS Group Ltd., S Mifsud & Sons Ltd., SMS Properties Ltd., and SMS Mondial Limited.
His career has seen him work with Price Waterhouse in London and in Malta, where he served as General Manager of the Galaxy Hotel and of Trident Developments Ltd.
Mr Formosa Gauci also served as CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority between 2008 and 2014 and as President of the MHRA.
Presently, he also serves as Chairman of the Malta Airport Foundation.
