Russell Mifsud, Gaming Director at KPMG Malta, was included in Emerging Leaders of Gaming’s (ELG) 40 under 40 list for 2022.
The list recognises workers in the global gaming industry aged under 40 that embody leadership roles and contribute significantly to the gaming, entertainment, leisure, and hospitality industries.
“I am delighted to have been listed as an emerging leader and immensely proud that our industry initiatives are recognised at a global level,” Mr Mifsud said.
“We are servicing a dynamic, fast-paced industry that truly keeps us all on our toes. Opportunities are manifested as the convergence of gambling, sports, videogaming, media, and esports continue to become intertwined,” he continued.
Mr Mifsud was appointed as KPMG Malta’s Gaming Director in September 2019, although he joined the company more than seven years ago, in 2014.
He initially joined KPMG Malta as a Manager and continually worked his way up, eventually getting promoted to Senior Manager, Associate Director, and finally, Director.
“The game is changing, and I am excited to see where it will take us. I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Global Gaming Business, The Innovation Group, Richard Schuetz, KPMG US, KPMG Malta, and my core team,” Mr Mifsud said.
“Congratulations to the rest of the ELG 40 under 40 class of 2022,” he concluded.
