At a time when maintaining that critical link between a company and its employees has become increasingly hard, in part due to the absence of social interaction which has been snuffed out by the global pandemic, upholding and strengthening company culture has never been more important.
Steven Bartlett, a social media expert and founder of the social media agency, media owner and e-commerce group, Social Chain, shared what he believes are the three biggest destroyers of company culture.
First is what he calls the lack of freedom – that is, freedom “to be creative, work flexibly or over an employee’s personal life”.
Up next is poor communication at all levels of a company’s hierarchy, and lastly, “letting arseholes get away with being arseholes (not removing an arsehole colleague/manager fast enough)”.
Do you agree with the Founder’s views on company culture destroyers?
