Lidl Malta, a leading supermarket chain on the Maltese islands, has been recognized as a Top Employer for the fifth consecutive year, having been awarded the Top Employers 2023 certification.
With a growing workforce, which presently stands at over 450 employees, Lidl Malta said in a statement that it is committed to offering the best working environment by placing people at the center of its operations. The Company’s HR strategy highlights the importance of corporate welfare, continuous training and the development of new services.

The prize is awarded following an in-depth analysis and a rigorous evaluation process, by the Top Employers Institute, an international certification body for HR excellence. For the year 2023 Lidl Malta has been included among the “Top Employers Malta” and, having obtained the same national recognition in more than 5 European countries, it is also included among the “Top Employers Europe”, confirming itself again in both categories.
The Top Employers Certification, for over thirty years, has been the official and most authoritative recognition of corporate excellence in HR policies and strategies and their implementation to contribute to people’s well-being.
Malta issues the certification to companies that meet specific parameters, verified through a survey that analyzes 400 HR practices on 6 specific areas divided into 20 different topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and many more.
