Malta-based Gentoo Media on Friday (today) announced the appointment of Christian Uhrenholt as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

This move comes just a few days after Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) announced the rebrand of GiG Media to Gentoo Media. The rebrand was done ahead of a planned split of the company in the third quarter of the 2024.

Mr Uhrenholt brings unique qualifications to his role as CFO at Gentoo Media. His career has been marked by a focus on solid value creation within the corporate finance function, and his audit background provides a crucial technical understanding of finance.

He has a proven track record in delivering strong financial performance and in instilling robust financial and operational discipline across organisations.

In his new role, Mr Uhrenholt will be responsible for evolving Gentoo Media’s finance department and supporting the broader strategic development of the business, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investor relations.

He will also be responsible for further development Gentoo Media’s financial understanding and will focus on a business case-driven approach in decision-making.

Mr Uhrenholt will join Gentoo Media by 1st August 2024.

Commenting on the development, Gentoo Media CEO and GiG acting CEO Jonas Warrer said that Mr Uhrenholt’s appointment is “another step forward” for the company, with it set to help Gentoo Media reach its growth targets.

“I am confident that his arrival will bolster the leading position we have in iGaming affiliation,” he continued.

On his part, Mr Uhrenholt remarked that he is delighted to have joined the company.

“The strong ambitions in the business are notable, and I am dedicated to further supporting the continued evolution of the business, cementing Gentoo Media’s leading position in the industry,” he added.

Founded in 2012, GiG is an iGaming technology company that provides solutions, products, and services to iGaming operators.
