The much loved BBC Orchestra in Concert event will be returning for the fourth consecutive year at the Granaries in Floriana on Sunday 9th July 2023.

This year’s chosen theme will be linked to the film industry to celebrate 100 years since the  iconic Hollywood table was affixed in Los Angeles, USA.

The concert is also expected to be broadcast on BBC Radio 2, a station that reaches an average of 14.2 million listeners per week.

The details were announced in a press conference on Wednesday addressed by Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo and Malta Tourism Authority CEO Carlo Micallef, in the presence of organisers Jason Carter and Anthony Cherry.

Chief Executive Carlo Micallef said that the Malta Tourism Authority will continue to strengthen its efforts to keep Malta an attractive and diversified destination for tourists who come to visit us throughout the year.

Minister Clayton Bartolo stressed how the event is a clear demonstration of an upcoming summer full of activities, which can only boost the tourist experience in Malta. “We are prepared for a summer season full of cultural and leisure activities for all. There is no doubt that the return of the BBC Orchestra to our country is a certificate of how much our product is being strengthened and made more sustainable for the time to come,” said Minister Bartolo.
