MAPFRE Middlesea on Wednesday (today) celebrated 16 years since Chief Officer – Technical Area joined the insurance company.

Ms Darmanin first joined the company when it was still Middlesea Insurance plc in 2008 as Senior Claims Executive.

She steadily progressed and climbed the corporate ladder, being named in more senior positions such as Head of Underwriting Department and Chief Underwriting Officer at MAPFRE Middlesea.

Ms Darmanin has been serving as Chief Officer – Technical Area since June 2021.

“On my 16th year with MAPFRE Middlesea, it’s time to reflect on my journey, to appreciate the strong and meaningful relationships I built and celebrate the accomplishments that wouldn’t have happened without the support and inspiration of the people around me,” Ms Darmanin said as she commented on her milestone.

Aside from her role at MAPFRE Middlesea, she is also Chief Underwriting Officer at MAPFRE MSV Life plc, which is jointly owned by Bank of Valletta and MAPFRE Middlesea.

Ms Darmanin is a skilled insurance professional with a history of working in different areas within the industry.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications and a Diploma in Management Studies, both from University of Malta. She also has an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute.
