Earlier this year, IT industry expert Arantza Castro took the plunge and co-founded St Paul’s Bay-based technology solutions company Martza Tech.
Despite the obvious challenges one is bound to experience throughout a business’ early days, Ms Castro tells MaltaCEOs.mt that her outlook for the foreseeable future remains bright.
Admittedly, starting a business right as the world is moving out of a pandemic and into a potential economic crisis is no easy feat. Nonetheless, as a business leader, Ms Castro believes that the best way entrepreneurs can grow is by being aware of their strengths and weaknesses.
“Everyone requires a fair and honest assessment of their advantages and disadvantages,” she says.
“Knowing which your strong and weak points are makes you turn your weaknesses into strengths and allows you to grow in many aspects to become better and get stronger, making a difference against your competitors in the market,” Ms Castro adds.
Having said that, the question remains: how does one survive in a world where competition tends to get rather aggressive?
According to Ms Castro, the secret lies in making one’s company “known and popular.”
“In a business world where the competition is extremely aggressive, we want to keep offering a competitive price and providing good quality products that satisfy 100 per cent of our customer requirements,” she says.
Remaining strong against adversity is much easier said than done, and ultimately, efforts are most likely to pay off if sustained over a lengthy period of time. Having said that, Ms Castro suggests that, if you really want a successful business, then you must be ready to play the long game.
“Every day we experience new, different, and challenging issues, and we have no choice but to face them and learn throughout the process,” the CEO notes.
That being said, Ms Castro maintains a positive outlook for 2023 – a year she expects to be “beautiful, challenging, and full of growth opportunities.”
“Along with the global economy’s improvement, we hope that 2023 will bring along a lot of business opportunities – especially in the blockchain market,” she concludes.
