Matthew Saliba

Matthew Saliba has announced the start of a new journey in his professional legal career as Global Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at JOKR – a retail brand whose mission is to simplify the traditional shopping process and support small businesses.

Based in Berlin, Mr Saliba shared that he will be working closely with the company’s teams across the globe to continue changing traditional shopping habits.

“I will take my awakened passion for D&I with me as we shape a global company from scratch,” he said. “We already have some fantastic legal people in the team and I will be building the central team in Berlin, as well as in our LATAM and US markets.”

His move to JOKR brought his journey with Delivery Hero, where he worked previously for six years as Senior Director and Head of Commercial Operational Law, to a close.

“My time at Delivery Hero has contributed to immense growth on a personal and professional level – it will always be a time I shall treasure and recall with fond memories. I leave behind amazing colleagues, some of whom I am proud to call friends. I am convinced that Delivery Hero will continue on its fantastic trajectory delivering amazing experiences all around, and I will watch with pride knowing that I contributed in a small part to this success.”
