SmartGroup Malta, a publicly listed real estate, construction, healthcare, and hospitality provider, has selected Melita Business to provide telecommunications services for the new The Segond Hotel in Xaghra, Gozo.

This agreement will see Melita Business providing 1,000Mbps fibre-powered internet to the hotel as well as installing TVs, WiFi, and telephony services throughout the building.

“As we look forward to a busy summer, it’s important for us to know that we have a telecommunications services partner we can rely on,” SmartGroup Malta Group CEO Franck Massicard said.

“Melita Business have shown us that they are able to offer the best infrastructure and dedicated customer support, enabling us to provide our guests with the best service possible whilst enjoying a stay at The Segond Hotel,” he continued.

The recently opened hotel offers 51 rooms and suites as well as an in-house restaurant, Francie.

“Melita’s unique ability to deliver gigabit internet speeds nationwide continues to attract business customers looking for the best possible connectivity,” Melita Business Services Director Malcolm Briffa said.

“For the hospitality sector, this is particularly important as it not only helps to make operations as efficient as possible, but also enhances the gues experience,” he continued.
