Michael Farrugia has been named as Deputy Chief Executive (Beverage Business) at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
Mr Farrugia will now be working closely with Group CEO Norman Aquilina in the overall running of the Group’s Beverage Business.
He will also continue to assume direct responsibility for Operations, The Brewhouse, and International Business Development. Simonds Farsons Cisk said that said appointment is part of its ‘strategic plans for further growth and development’.
Mr Farrugia is a third generation Director with years of experience in the food and beverage industry. He has been working at Farsons Group for well over a decade, having previously served as Business Development Manager, Head of Business Support, and Chief Business Development Officer.
Farsons Group, one of the islands’ best-known businesses, is engaged in the brewing, production, and sale and distribution of branded beers and beverages, the importation, wholesale, and retail of food and beverages, the operations of franchise food retailing establishments, and property development.
In turn, the group comprises six different companies: Simonds Farsons Cisk, Quintano Foods, Farsons Beverage Imports, Food Chain, Farsonsdirect, and EcoPure.
