Nicky Camilleri / AX

Nicky Camilleri resigned from his role as AX Group’s Chief Operations Officer (COO), on Friday.

Making the announcement through the Malta Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors extended its gratitude to Mr Camilleri for his service to the group and wished him well for his future endeavours

Mr Camilleri, a certified accountant, has held the role of COO since May 2023 after garnering years of experience in similar leadership roles.

Prior to joining AX Group, Mr Camilleri was Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Mizzi Organisation for nine years and CFO at Premier Capital plc for three years, where he managed the financial operations of the Mc Donal’s franchisor in Malta, the Baltics and Greece.

He was also CFO at Corinthia’s subsidiary Palm City Residence in Libya.

On LinkedIn, he describes himself as being skilful in stakeholder management, business strategy, commerical finance, leadership and in team motivation, among others.

The news of his resignation came on the same day that AX Group announced that a parcel of land located along Qawra’s coastline has been signed over to a subsidiary of AX Group for 65 years after an agreement was reached with Government and Lands Authority.

AX Group is a diversified group of companies that operates across different industries including construction, development, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, and renewable energy.
