Oliver Magro has been appointed CEO at the Planning Authority (PA), the Ministry for Public Works and Planning announced on Friday.
In doing so, he replaces Martin Saliba as the PA’s top official, bringing to an end the latter’s three years at the helm after he was appointed in November 2019 by then-Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
Mr Magro has over 18 years of experience in various areas within the PA, including a period as Senior Officer. He has worked closely with Prime Minister Robert Abela in the past, having served as part of his legal team and worked at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Minister for Public Works and Planning Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi thanked Mr Saliba for his work throughout the years he led the PA, and also wished Mr Magro the best in his new role.
