He joins the hotel in Attard after more than 10 years working at global hospitality company Marriott International across two spells. Prior to his new position, he served as Account Director of Sales at the company’s JW Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha in Qatar for over a year. Mr Selcuk’s time at Marriott International also includes experiences in senior positions at its W Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, both in Istanbul, among other establishments.

Additionally, he also worked as Corporate Sales at hospitality management company Rotana Hotel Management Corporation for over a year.

Mr Selcuk holds a degree from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Economics, Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, and describes himself as being notably skilled in customer relations and hotel management, among other qualities.

Corinthia Palace first started out as a restaurant, opened in 1962, in a century-old restored country villa. The hotel was constructed in the villa’s gardens just some years later, and was inaugurated as Corinthia Hotels Limited’s first hotel in 1968. The hotel contains 147 rooms, and boasts dining, meetings and spa facilities to complement its accommodation offering.
