Tassos Mervakitis has been named Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Premier Capital plc, a company which forms part of Hili Ventures.

While the announcement was made on Tuesday (today), the appointment came into effect on 20th May 2024.

Premier Capital is the developmental licensee for popular fast food chain McDonald’s in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Romania, operating 185 restaurants and employing over 11,000 people.

In his new role, Mr Mervakitis will oversee the development of new store openings across the six countries in which the company operates, as well as support Managing Directors in each market and their development teams on the ground.

Mr Mervakitis is an Engineer by profession and a seasoned real estate and construction specialist. Prior to his latest position, he worked at Citibank for 16 years, serving in roles such as EMEA Head for Office Design and Construction and Cluster Head of Real Estate Services for Italy and Greece, among other roles.

He had also worked as Commercial Real Estate Development Director at GEK TERNA Group, as well as Branch Network Design and Construction Head at McDonald’s.

Mr Mervakitis holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering from National Technical University of Athens.
