Gianni Zammit, Director at local events company Jugs Malta, took to social media to urge conference organisers to prioritise audience comfort.

“Here’s where a piece of advice my dad gave me comes in handy: ‘the mind absorbs as much as the bum endures’,” he wrote.

“Essentially, peoples’ level of concentration is directly related to the duration of a conference and how engaged people are made to feel throughout it,” Mr Zammit continued.

The Jugs Director suggests breaking up conferences with straightforward activities like “coffee breaks for networking”, “ice breakers”, as well as the establishment of “chillout spaces.”

Mr Zammit has stood at the helm of Jugs Malta as a Director and Shareholder for the past 22-and-a-half years.

Throughout said period, the company has gone from strength to strength, organising an array of events including but not limited to brand launches, conferences, award nights, team building activities, and employee engagement events.

Mr Zammit also serves as a Director and Shareholder at Business Leaders Malta, local radio station Vibe FM, and childcare provider YoYo Kids Malta.
