CPHCL Finance plc on Tuesday announced that Rachel Stilon has been named Executive Director.

CPHCL Finance is Corinthia Group’s financing company, and is primarily tasked with financing the ownership, development and operation of the hospitality group’s hotels, resorts and leisure facilities.

Ms Stilon graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accountancy from University of Malta in 1996 and started her career in finance at PwC Malta.

She then proceeded to join the internal audit department at Corinthia Group in 1998, before she moved into corporate finance as Financial Controller at Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Limited (CPHCL) in 2000. Since then, she has held various corporate finance related positions and is currently also the Financial Controller at CPHCL Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Mediterranean Investments Holding plc.

Ms Stilon is a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants, as well as Chairperson on Federated Mills plc’s board.

As a result of the appointment, CPHCL Finance’s Board of Directors is now comprised of Non-Executive Director Frank Xerri de Caro, who is acting as Chairman, along with Joseph J. Vella, Mario Galea, and Alfred Camilleri as Non-Executive Directors, as well as Ms Stilon as Executive Director.

The company’s Audit Committee is made up of Mr Galea as Chairman, together with Dr Vella, Mr Xerri de Caro, and Mr Camilleri.
