Sam Zammit has been appointed to lead RE/MAX Malta as its CEO. A longstanding employee at the real estate agency, he has served for close to 20 years, the last nine of which as Chief Technology and Innovation Officer.

The news was announced by outgoing Co-Founder Jeff Buttigieg at an international speaker event held for RE/MAX staff. Jeff is a Co-Founder of the real estate agency and will stay on as a board member. He will also continue to support RE/MAX Lettings Malta as its Director.

He co-founded the company in 1999 together with his brother, Kevin (RE/MAX CEO January 2004 – December 2020), when they set up their own real estate business, JK Properties. Four years later both brothers, together with their father Joseph Buttigieg, brought the international real estate franchise brand, RE/MAX, to Malta.

Commenting on Sam’s tenure with the company, Jeff described him as having shown “pure dedication and loyalty to the brand and the people” he serves.

“Every role you have undertaken, you have taken in your stride and have proven your ability to lead naturally,” Jeff said of the new CEO.

“The board has full confidence that you will lead our business into the next generation of real estate on the Maltese Islands and you have the full backing and support of the management team.

“Kevin, Joe and I, together with the stakeholders, are here to support the company mission, vision, values and strategy we have set together during these weeks and announced today to the company during our International speaker event.”
