Sarah Oliva has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Andaria Financial Services, the company announced on Tuesday.

Andaria Financial Services is a fintech company that is also a licenced e-money institution in both the UK and Malta. Through its global multicurrency business accounts and embedded finance solutions, it is on a “mission to make digital financial services more accessible, simple, and transparent for all businesses”.

In the announcement, the company acknowledged Ms Oliva’s proven expertise in financial services, and stated that she brings a “fresh perspective and invaluable leadership” to its journey.

“Her passion for fostering a more inclusive financial landscape aligns seamlessly with our values, and we’re excited to have her drive our operational excellence to new heights,” Andaria Financial Services added.

Prior to her new role, Ms Oliva was Head of Operations at AgriBank plc for six months.

Her experience also includes more than seven years at Merkanti Bank Ltd, where she worked in a number of positions, including as Head of Operations and Treasury. Ms Oliva was also Operations Executive at BAWAG Group and Valuation and Analysis Officer at Central Bank of Malta.

She holds a master’s degree in economics, together with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Economics, both from University of Malta.
