Farsons Group announced two new managerial appointments within its food business management team involving long-standing employee Sean Portelli and newcomer Gordon Naudi.
Having held the position of Business Manager at Quintano Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Farsons Group, for the past five years, Mr Portelli has now been promoted to GM of the company.
Quintano Foods is the food importation arm of Farsons Group representing international brands such as Danone and the PepsiCo food portfolio.
“It is truly a privilege to be part of the Farsons Group. Five years have flown since I joined with a strong will and a determination to achieve improved results for Quintano Foods,” Mr Portelli said.
“I thank my team and colleagues for their hard work together with the Chairman and CEO for entrusting me with increased responsibilities in this new role. I look forward to continued success and growth, whilst retaining the strong will and determination to perform as when I first joined,” he continued.
Newcomer Gordon Naudi has been appointed GM at Food Chain Limited, the company operating the Pizza Hut, KFC, and Burger King franchises in Malta.
“After over 16 years in the hospitality industry, I look forward to this new challenge to help Food Chain achieve new heights and provide the best customer experience our clients expect of the company,” Mr Naudi said.
“Food Chain has a very exciting future ahead, and I am thrilled to be leading the team down this path,” he continued.
Farsons Group CEO Norman Aquilina referred to the new appointees as “highly seasoned managers, both being invaluable additions to our Group senior management team.”
“In spite of the challenging times of today, we have put in motion some ambitious plans for both Food Chain and Quintano Foods, with some significant investments already lined up, which should ensure we are well placed in strengthening our market presence in the food business.”
