Earlier this week, local consultancy firm Seed announced a collaboration with Birkirkara-based start-up accelerator Founder Atelier in a bid to fulfil its goal of assisting businesses in their early days.

This collaboration is being powered by US-based start-up accelerator Berkeley SkyDeck – a company formed as a partnership between UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.

“Seed was set-up with the intention of adding value and delivering impact to employees, clients, and communities,” Seed Co-Founders JP Fabri and Nicky Gouder said.

“[Founders Atelier’s] global experiences will definitely support Maltese enterprises and being associated with the globally-renowned Berkely SkyDeck is something that falls in line with our vision,” they continued.

This partnership will see Seed, Founders Atelier, and Berkely SkyDeck assist start-ups in need of considerable support whilst helping the country establish itself as a hub for young entrepreneurs and businesses.

“Being a member of the European Union while having close connection to Africa and the Middle East means that the Maltese ecosystem can attract future start-ups and corporations willing to be part of this booming innovation hub,” Founders Atelier Director Elias Boustani said.

“We are excited to be working with the team at Seed who offer a multi-disciplined perspective and who share our same values. Our partnership with Seed is definitely a great asset to make Malta the place for innovation,” he continued.
