Summer is a period welcomed by many, as gives them ample time to unwind and relax.
However, there are various people that still prefer the colder winter months rather than the heat that summer brings.
AIRO Ltd CEO Ian Bugeja is one of the aforesaid people, with him enjoying the calming rainfall that characterises Malta’s winters more than summer’s gleaming sunlight.
As part of this year’s MaltaCEOs.mt summer interview series, we reached out to Ian to learn more about the upsides of summer and how he plans to make the most out of the hotter months.
A software development and product management specialist, Ian became CEO at software consultancy AIRO Ltd in 2021. Being in charge of a company is undoubtedly not easy, which is why he still savours summer, even if he prefers the colder months.
I prefer winter. This is mostly due to the heat, and I just love the rain during winter.
I look forward to winter more, but I understand that it cannot be to my liking all the time. Summer has to come.
The food is obviously great. Nobody in Malta complains about barbecues and in particular, Maltese sausages.
During the day I prefer staying under the air conditioner. In the evening or late in the afternoon, going outside is nice as well.
Sicily is the go-to destination for the family.
I don’t really have one, although sometime I’d want to visit Croatia and its beaches.
I prefer cities and historical places while abroad rather than going to the beaches or the sea.
Definitely getting sick while on holiday.
Yes, I will spend some good quality time with the family.
As business leaders, we need to always have goals and try to surpass them.
